IN-TUNE A CAPPELLA

In-tune with Christ both spiritually and vocally!

With apologies to the likes of Ted who missed out on our first outreach to Pangani, can you believe he missed out AGAIN? The Elder of Pangani decided that he would invite us to his school yet again...but at the onset, the problem was that the In-Tune house wasn't full. It was only, the twins, Joseph, James, Tichi and myself who were present and this proved to be a major hindrance to our proposed performance. So much so that we were even considering doing away with the trip altogether!

But where there is a way, there is a will and with that will is God's will. We gathered our wits and made our way to Nairobi's Eastlands area. Arriving at the girl's tiny worship place, we were warmly and surprisingly open-heartedly received. Knowing very well that we had sang almost all of our songs on the previous trip, you can understand the situation we were in! But the 'will' factor kicked in again, with miracles such as Tichi, our tenor 1 singing in Bass!!

The presentations henceforth went quite well, and I can safely say that even though we were only the tenors who were present...we did a pretty good job with the performances, though never in my life have I sang as long as I did that day...two and a half good hours! Joseph proved his value with the classic composure he possessed taking over the program and covering the rest of the guys as we frantically got our act together in between items...which consummately capped the entire performance with smoothness and flow.

At the end of the day, our purpose was fulfilled though our voices were strained but the rewards of having young students come up to you and confess that they were truly blessed and drawn more towards their spirituality through song is enough to fuel our endeavors...

About this blog

Keep In Tune in your prayers as we struggle to reform ourselves after the mini-breakup we had. Some of our members left the group, but we've worked around it all and are getting back on our feet. We are continuing with our schools ministry and outreach and welcome and contributions and suggestions you may have...

Sabato

Well...here are the lyrics to the song 'Sabato'. In-Tune's purely original piece;

(prelude humming)

Mola wangu, nakusifu siku ya leo,
usifiwe milele duniani kote,
twakupenda na mioyo yetu yote,
usifiwe...,Mungu wetu..., hasa Sabato...

chorus
siku teule... siku takatifu..., iliyotakaswa...
sabato*2
Rabuka Rabana Moliwa*2
twakupenda twakusifu kila siku...

chorus*2

(humming by base*2)
(humming in unison)
