IN-TUNE A CAPPELLA

In-tune with Christ both spiritually and vocally!

Theres the age old saying that familiarity breeds contempt and that you can't expect different results with the same tactics, can you? I dunno, but the only way to find out is to try it out! A while back there was an article, 'In-sync with In-Tune', which I guess, no... i hope helped to introduce you to what exactly In Tune is and what our purpose is. As a group of musically gifted Christians, we chose, about a year ago to embark on the tough task that Jesus Christ himself left all of us who deem ourselves as Christians to portray; Discipleship.
I can't say that it's been a bed of roses, and neither can I say its been a bed of thorns. There have been ups and downs, rivers and mountains to get us to where we have come and to what we have become, and I guess I thank God for one thing above all else...In-Tune is a brotherhood. We've been going strong for over a year now and we hope that will continue to beyond, wherever that 'beyond' may be.

Now back to the radicalization that I was talking about. We analysed ourselves, much like basic companies do, and decided to discern whether over a year down the line, we had achieved what we wanted to. Well, I can tell you the major session went on more like an Alcoholics Anonymous showdown, with everyone, and I mean everyone, telling the rest of us what they thought about themselves. Believe you me it isn't a picnic in the park to talk bare hard facts about yourself. Go on. Try it. Do you think you're perfect? Whats hot and whats not with you? The session with us went rather well. The objective of the whole thing was to find out what our weakenesses, and more importantly, where our strengths lay. Whether we were still as faithful to and as motivated to follow in Christ's footsteps.

It was an eye opener and rather a shock to find out that all was not as well as we thought it was, which eye openers are supposed to do of course!

I won't go into the details, just like strong brands don't do with their secret recipes, but just know it worked! Our rebranding actually worked! We've learnt, believe it or not six...yes six new songs over the past three weeks and we aren't stopping there. We sorted out our issues through fervent prayer, deliberation and agreements and resolved to do things efficiently, effectively and constructively. The talks were lengthly but the fruits of our labour were as sweet as could be.

My prayer for you is to pray unceasingly in your trials and temptations and to be totally unassuming. You may just discover that you overlooked afew things about yourself or whats troubling you! Take it from people who've been through it.. God Bless you.

About this blog

Keep In Tune in your prayers as we struggle to reform ourselves after the mini-breakup we had. Some of our members left the group, but we've worked around it all and are getting back on our feet. We are continuing with our schools ministry and outreach and welcome and contributions and suggestions you may have...

Sabato

Well...here are the lyrics to the song 'Sabato'. In-Tune's purely original piece;

(prelude humming)

Mola wangu, nakusifu siku ya leo,
usifiwe milele duniani kote,
twakupenda na mioyo yetu yote,
usifiwe...,Mungu wetu..., hasa Sabato...

chorus
siku teule... siku takatifu..., iliyotakaswa...
sabato*2
Rabuka Rabana Moliwa*2
twakupenda twakusifu kila siku...

chorus*2

(humming by base*2)
(humming in unison)
