IN-TUNE A CAPPELLA

In-tune with Christ both spiritually and vocally!

The Sabbath of 2nd February will run down in the In- Tune History books as a double edged sword. But not just any double edged sword...one side as blunt as the gnawing teeth of a rodent, and the other as sharp as a mother's pinch. The scene of the disappointment was the front yard of Moi Nairobi Girls' School. Thank God it wasn't achilly morning, save for the icy reception. In Tune was to conduct its ministry at the school but some form of miscommunication took place. Not to fret by the way, because knowing InTuners, and the speed with which they rise up and dust themselves off, it was a no brainer! Later that evening, everything would be hunky dory yet again.

The school administration, and security were reluctant and flatly refused us entry into the premises on grounds that they had no idea whatsoever that we would be there on that day. Add to the fact that these were fourteen men and the school was a girl's boarding...i wonder what was running through their minds, only God knows. However, we decided not to make up too much of a big deal and headed back to base for the sermon.

Somewhere on the way, plans changed again, and we found ourselves taking a detour towards neighbouring Newlife SDA Church. It was no wonder then that we settled down for a wonderful sermon by a visiting preacher on Biblical prophecy. I have to admit dozing off a couple of times but when the spirit moves in you, believe you me...it moves! Anderson was practically too entranced with one of his new exploits to make an exit with us, but he joined us later on at Maxell: Mission accomplished.

In the afternoon, things got even better when we paid Ted Okoth's brother a visit at the Kenyatta National Hospital. Thank God he was steadily recovering from his accident, thoguh we keep praying for his well being. We sang him one song, 'Higher Perspective' and gave him a verse or two from the bible, which he positively recieved. I'd call that all in a fruitful day's work, wouldn't you?

About this blog

Keep In Tune in your prayers as we struggle to reform ourselves after the mini-breakup we had. Some of our members left the group, but we've worked around it all and are getting back on our feet. We are continuing with our schools ministry and outreach and welcome and contributions and suggestions you may have...

Sabato

Well...here are the lyrics to the song 'Sabato'. In-Tune's purely original piece;

(prelude humming)

Mola wangu, nakusifu siku ya leo,
usifiwe milele duniani kote,
twakupenda na mioyo yetu yote,
usifiwe...,Mungu wetu..., hasa Sabato...

chorus
siku teule... siku takatifu..., iliyotakaswa...
sabato*2
Rabuka Rabana Moliwa*2
twakupenda twakusifu kila siku...

chorus*2

(humming by base*2)
(humming in unison)
