The morning was chilly and the rain was coming down hard on the sabbath morning of 19th January. Ted had called us during the week informing the guys that we had been slotted in to sing during the sabbath school session in the morning at around 8.45am. I can say practice took place as usual, in all its goofiness courtesy of you know who...(new years calls for new resolutions so I have opted not to reveal any identities unless absolutely crazy enough!) We went through our couple of songs and settled on 'Truth was Standing' as our first performance for the year.
Half an hour down the line and it was time. We weren't clad in our uniforms by the way, but the dress code was official attire. We took our position at the dias and sang away. Unfortunately, I started with a low, or wrong, take it whichever way you deem fit, key and the entire song went down hill from there. It wasn't too bad, some optimists would say, but none of us was impressed, considering this was how we were to start off our year. All in all, it was the message and its content that mattered.
That afternoon, we seriously sat down to plan our activities for the month of February. I will make sure to fill you in abit later on all the details but I hope all that we discussed will come to fruition...no I pray that that is what will happen. I'm still expecting your suggestions or invitations for consideration for the year ahead...so hurry while the opportunity is still there so you don't blame us when something comes up and we weren't there. And as for our postponed concert, when we do come up with a date, you'll get it here first.
Something else which I forgot to mention, though I should have considering the magnitude of the occurence, was the departure of one of our founding members, Simeon Oriko. At the time of this publication, I had not confirmed with him whether or not he wished me to publish his reasons, but there it is. On the brighter side, we have a new and promising entrant to maintain our numerical strength. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for the tenor, Phillip Nyatichi! Look out for our profiles which are coming soon.

Kevo, Kevo, Kevo! I thought experience taught you well!? Don't worry! People almost always talk about how u finish and not how u start e.g KCSE! Its the same thing with u guyz. How you start the year doesn't really matter! How you go through the rest of it matters!
anyway, been a while so I thought I'd drop a line! Still praying for you guys! Remember, God first, stamding ovations last! God Bless ya'll
