I know...I know... absence makes the heart grow fonder and you've missed these juicy updates about your favourite group. Well the downside is, as you well know by now, that the concert was cancelled...but the upside is, a lot and I mean loads and loads of stuff has been happening with In-Tune. The guys were excited now that everyones reunited because the High Schoolers have finally cleared and Simi is back so we are what the hit 90s series was- 'Full House'.
First of all, into the planning of the concert; never in my life have I seen such dedication and commitment in my life! The buzz that was surrounding the preparations for the concert was staggering. The hectic schedule of four weekdays and Saturday afternoon could be enough to derail any worker but not everyone who was concerned with our concert. Big ups to Rubi, who tirelessly bore the brunt of the lead role in the musical we had planned but still managed to walk into Milimani Road with a smile plastered on her face.
Everyone from crazy Chris to juxtaposed James was into the mood of putting in their undying effort to make the big day a success! Despite the fact that Andy and Joseph were full blown in their exams(by the way we wish you every bit of success) they managed to squeeze in an appearance or two at the onset and when they were through...at the critical time-Thank God, they supported the rest of us. I can safely say therefore, that I have respect for every director out there who has a deadline to meet and makes it. It is hard work, I can tell you that much.
There were dough nuts to be demolished and shoe soles to be finished by the time preparations got fully underway...but the experience that ensued cannot be exchanged. The more we did, the closer we became. Up to that point I did not think that that was possible, but such are the wonders of the Almighty. Ted would have missed the entire concert because his cousin had a wedding but as they say...theres a reason for everything. We then received news...just three days to the D-Day, that it was cancelled. I'll tell you why in a bit...
