The funny thing about In-Tune, of which I came to discover only recently, thanksto the enlightenment of Joseph, the 'know-allness' of Simeon, the goofiness of Chris and the inspiration of Ted, is that we are one big happy family!
Believe you me, we have more than enough guest appearances during our practice sessions and the single ,most prevalent comment remains the question...How exactly do you guys get any songs done with all this mischief? Before I go further, I'd have to admit that this phenomenon classifies up there with the wonders of the world. C'mon, I mean, when you put together loudmouths, noisemakers, the highly opinionated and utterly controversial, what do you expect? Not that I'm saying any of the above are in In-Tune, okay I lied, maybe I am, but you would expect disaster wouldn't you?
At the end of the day, after Joseph has announced himself and James has come with the latest humorous video, Chris has showed off his latest karate move, I have dropped a deadly one-liner, George has materialised from God knows where, Simeon has tried to stamp his authority, Andy has chracteristically vybed with one of his women and Edwin has remained as nonchalant as is humanly possible, we get our song done! Amazing isn't it?
Over our 1 year existence, I have admiringly come to discover that In-Tune are tighter than tight. Guys have each others backs, we anticipate each others strategies and finish each others statements. If thats not being 'in-tune' with each other, I don't know what is. As a word of advice to other singing groups- the same way we are treading, strive to get purpose in your song. By this I mean don't just sing for the joy of the song but sing for your Creator.
